The objective of the course is to train creative illustrators who are capable of producing creative, innovative and quality illustration works.
SPM/UEC/O-level/Equivalent: 3 credits (pass in BM and History for SPM)
The objective of the course is to train creative illustrators who are capable of producing creative, innovative and quality illustration works. The course emphasizes manual expression skills as well as exploration of various media in illustration and advertising related drawings and paintings. At the same time, the course will make the best use of computer aided design software to further enhance the quality of creative illustration.
The main areas of study include descriptive, expressive and interpretative illustration where students will learn skills ranging from realistic, analytical and interpretative to expressive approaches.
Students will begin with observational studies, then gradually move towards the exploration of idea and concepts. Students will also learn general graphic design, typography, visual layout, colour studies, photography, computer graphics, studio drawing, figure drawing, desktop publishing design, etc.
